If you are looking for a discreet dating site and want to know what you will actually pay, this page sets out our pricing in full and explains how the main alternatives are structured.
HushAffair membership starts at $10, and works out to $3.33 a month on our six-month plan. Messaging is included, and nothing renews automatically.
Three membership lengths. One price, paid once, for the whole term.
| Membership | Total price | Works out at |
|---|---|---|
| 2 months | $10 USD | $5.00 / month |
| 4 months | $15 USD | $3.75 / month |
| 6 months | $20 USD | $3.33 / month |
Longer terms cost less per month. While your membership is active there is no separate charge to send or read messages.
Nothing renews automatically. When your term ends, it ends. You decide whether to buy another one.
You can register and use a fair amount of the site without paying. Here is the honest split.

The one worth knowing about before you sign up: viewing other members' photos requires a membership. A free account lets you search and read profiles, but the pictures are behind the paywall.
Alongside membership, the site has an optional credit balance. You do not need credits if you have a membership. Messaging is already included.
Credits cover two situations. Without a membership, you can buy credits and pay for individual actions instead. And if you have credits, you can share them with a free member so they can reply to you — the credits are then spent by them, on their side of the conversation. Credits do not expire.
| Credit pack | Price |
|---|---|
| 100 credits | $9.99 USD |
| 200 credits | $14.99 USD |
| 400 credits | $19.99 USD |
What actions cost, for anyone without a membership:
Which is cheaper? If you plan to message at all regularly, membership wins comfortably. $10 buys two months of unlimited messaging; $9.99 in credits buys roughly ten started conversations. Credits make sense for trying the site without committing, or for covering someone else's replies.
Prices change often and we are not going to publish figures we cannot stand behind. What is worth understanding before you sign up anywhere is how a site charges, because that is what decides your real cost.
Ashley Madison uses credits to pay for messaging. You get credits either by buying a pack outright, or by taking a subscription that includes a credit allocation refilled each billing cycle. Either way, what you spend depends on how much you message. Their subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel. Check their site for current pricing — it varies by country and currency.
That is a different structure from ours, and the difference matters more than any headline monthly figure.
The advertised monthly figure is rarely the whole cost. Four things to look at:
What is actually in place:
What we will not claim: we do not currently verify member identities, and we do not run an automated fraud-detection system. If a site tells you every profile is verified, ask them how.
HushAffair has operated since 2006. The site was rebuilt on its current platform in 2020, and we are still modernising it.
Registration is free. Create a profile, search and read profiles without paying. Membership is what unlocks photos and messaging.
Is there a free option?
Yes. Creating a profile, searching, viewing profiles and uploading your own photos are free. Viewing other members' photos and messaging need a membership.
Do I pay per message?
Not with a membership. Messaging is unlimited while your membership is active. Without one, individual actions cost credits, as listed above.
What is the cheapest way to use the site?
The six-month membership at $20, which works out at $3.33 a month.
Does my membership renew automatically?
No. There is no auto-renewal on this site. Your membership runs for the term you bought and then stops. If you want to continue, you buy another term.
The pricing above is what this site currently charges. We do not publish other companies' prices, because they change and we cannot verify them for you — check each site directly.
